Dax von Dahn is a striking looking 12 month old German Shepherd. This boy with the stunning mask has all the amazing qualities of a German Shepherd, but in a slightly smaller package. Dax is confident and alert on walks and responds well to correction even when on a brisk jog. An engaging boy with a constantly twitching nose, he can be dog reactive on leash at times but will listen to correction. Off leash he is a different dog; he doesn’t react but can be pushy with certain dogs but good with most dogs. He likes to feel that he is the leader of the pack but doesn’t know how to manage that yet. He will try to claim that spot but, if another dog is more confident than him, Dax actually becomes submissive. He is still a young pup trying to figure out where he really stands. He needs an owner to show him proper training and socialize him more. Dax and his new family will benefit from a free training class that comes with his adoption to start him off in the right path. Dax is looking for a new home that will turn his remaining puppy energy and curiosity into some new tricks and adventures, with lots of love and head scratches along the way.
